Research
Even though we use a non-scientific style of presentation, Nutrimatters’ curriculum is primarily based on peer-reviewed articles by leading scientists published in top-tier journals. Also, disappointed at the slow pace that game-changing new nutrition research was reaching those who needed it, several leading scientists began supplementing their peer-reviewed articles with YouTube videos and publishing books intended for everyday readers. We’ve listed some of these YouTube videos, books, and articles so you can hear many of the Nutrimatters fundamentals directly from scientists and researchers.
However, because a YouTube video, book, or article is listed here, it doesn’t mean we fully agree with everything they say. Our outcomes are factored in, and the extraneous is left out. The extraneous include political rhetoric, social commentary, career bias, and commercial influences. Further, brilliant science and research in one specialty occasionally falls victim to too much extrapolation outside that specialty. Others are so specialized they can't always connect the dots with the works of other specialties. And some are succumbing to the siren’s song of becoming a social media influencer focusing on monetization.
Nevertheless, within these listed works and the hundreds of unlisted top-tier journal papers that drove our outcomes over more than a dozen years, there is a path forward to avoid and reverse metabolic syndrome, obesity, and metabolic disease. The nearly six hours of videos required to complete the 15 Nutrimatters Courses may seem like a big ask, but these provide the essential, actionable knowledge of the hundreds of hours it would take to study all these YouTube videos, books, and scientific articles.
